This Privacy Policy explains how Anapto LLC ("Anapto", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information you provide when using the Anapto MSP Valuation Tool (the "Tool") at valuation.anaptogroup.com. By using the Tool you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the Tool, we collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide
- Your name, email address, company name, job title, and annual revenue range (entered at the access gate).
- Financial information about your business: three years of revenue and Adjusted EBITDA; financial-rigor flags (direct labor, admin payroll split, deferred revenue tracking).
- Quality-driver responses across thirteen categories (recurring revenue, gross retention, client concentration, owner dependency, etc.) and which professional advisors you work with.
- The valuation scenario you select (low / mid / high).
Information collected automatically
- IP address at submission, browser user-agent, page referrer.
- Local browser storage (
localStorage) to remember your inputs between visits; storage is scoped to your email address so different users on the same device do not see each other's data. - Authentication tokens issued by Supabase when you sign in via magic link or one-time code.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment card data, banking information, or government IDs.
- The Tool is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, individuals under 18.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above for the following purposes:
(a) To operate the Tool
We use your name, email, and verification token to authenticate you, deliver the resulting report, and let you return to view it later. We may also send you operational messages relating to your report (for example, a sign-in link or a re-issued report link). These operational messages are essential to the service you requested and do not require separate consent.
(b) To maintain, calibrate, and improve the Tool
We analyze submitted data — including financial figures, quality-driver responses, and resulting outputs — to refine our market multiples, validate our adjustments, and improve accuracy and usability. This use is on the legal basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining a useful and accurate product, and is conducted in identifiable form only as needed for this purpose by Anapto and our valuation partner (see Section 3).
(c) To produce aggregated industry benchmarks and research
We may publish, share with our valuation partner, or include in marketing materials statistical summaries, benchmarks, and aggregated findings drawn from the pool of submissions (for example: "median EBITDA margin among MSPs with $5–10M revenue"). Any such publication will be aggregated and de-identified so that no individual company can be identified — minimum sample sizes will be enforced and individual figures, names, and contact information will not be included.
(d) To contact you about the Tool, with your consent
If you affirmatively opt in at the access gate, we may send you occasional non-operational emails about MSP benchmarks, calibration updates, and the Tool. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or emailing valuation@anaptogroup.com. Withdrawing marketing consent has no effect on your access to the Tool or your existing report.
3. How We Share Your Information
IT Valuations
IT Valuations ("iTV") is our valuation partner. iTV provides calibration support, validates submitted data and methodology, and (where applicable) follows up with users on certified valuation services that go beyond what this Tool provides. Your submitted information — including your name, contact details, company name, and submitted financial figures — may be shared with iTV under a written agreement that requires iTV to handle the data confidentially and use it only to support our service to you and the purposes described in this Policy. iTV will not contact you for marketing purposes unless you opt in at the access gate.
Service providers (subprocessors)
We rely on the following third-party service providers, each of whom is contractually bound to handle your data only as needed to provide their service to us:
What we will not do
- We will not sell your personal information.
- We will not share your name, contact details, or individual financial figures with any party other than iTV and the service providers listed above.
- We will not send you marketing emails unless you opted in at the access gate.
Legal disclosures
We may disclose information when required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order, regulatory demand) or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Anapto, our users, or the public.
4. Data Retention
We retain submitted information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this Policy. By default we retain lead and valuation records for five (5) years from the most recent submission, after which records may be deleted or further de-identified at our discretion. You may request earlier deletion under Section 6.
Aggregated and de-identified statistics produced under Section 2(c) may be retained indefinitely as they no longer constitute personal information.
5. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect submitted information, including encrypted transit (TLS), encrypted storage at the database layer, role-based access to production systems, and authentication via short-lived magic-link tokens. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your information we will notify you and any required authorities in accordance with applicable law.
6. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location (including under the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act), you may have rights to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information ("right to be forgotten");
- Opt out of having your submission included in aggregated benchmarks (we will exclude future analyses; previously published aggregates cannot be retroactively recomputed);
- Withdraw any marketing consent;
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email valuation@anaptogroup.com from the email address you used to access the Tool. We will respond within thirty (30) days or any shorter period required by applicable law.
7. International Transfers
Anapto is based in the United States. If you access the Tool from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, our service providers' Standard Contractual Clauses (or equivalent transfer mechanism) apply.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
The Tool uses your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage to remember
your inputs and current authenticated session. These are not third-party advertising cookies, and we
do not use the Tool to track you across other websites. Authentication cookies set by Supabase are
required for sign-in; clearing them will sign you out.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Each version is identified by a version string at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify users of the Tool by email or by a prominent notice on the access gate before the changes take effect.
10. Contact
For privacy questions, requests under Section 6, or to report a concern, contact us at valuation@anaptogroup.com.
